In this ever-changing world, we all need a little comfort. Amazing acts of kindness and generosity are all around us. They’re not always visible, but their impact is far-reaching and inspiring. Here are some ways ordinary people are helping each other while life is interrupted.
Celebrating
During this period of social distancing, many of life’s milestones are being celebrated in unexpected ways. Grandparents meeting their new grandbabies through a window. Weddings are now virtual gatherings. It is beautiful how some are finding ways to celebrate with joy and creativity.

Neighborhood children are playing concerts to lift the spirits of those nearby. Healthy young people are grocery shopping for the elderly. It is astounding the ways we can help each other!
At Home
Here in Ohio, stories like mailmen helping those they deliver mail to or local restaurants feeding hospital workers, are always encouraging. As a city that has been through hard times before, we know how to weather storms together.
