“Doing The Most Good”

As the whole world pauses, we want our friends and neighbors to know that they are not alone. We are all in this together! Our goal is to spotlight the resources available to our communities during these uncertain times.

For 150 years the Salvation Army has served N.E. Ohio. Over the past few days they have served nearly 10,000 people 41,874 meals. This faith-based organization began in 1865 and performs their duties in 130 countries. When people are at their lowest the Salvation Army lends a helping hand to lift them.

COVID-19

“The Salvation Army exists to meet human needs wherever, whenever, however we can.” They are devoted to the care of people most susceptible to the coronavirus. The Salvation Army has 36 community centers throughout N.E. Ohio. These centers provide fresh as well as non-perishable food items. Now they offer drive thru and pick up services for the safety of their workers, and those they help. They also provide emergency assistance with rent and utilities.

The Fight For Good

The Salvation Army’s scope goes well beyond the pandemic. They aid and build Disaster Relief, Veteran Services, Homeless Shelters, and more. The Salvation Army is there to, “help those in your community who need food, help with utilities, safe shelter, and hope.” To do this they: Assess The Need – Build Programs – Invest In The Community.
