It is that time of year again. The time to get out and explore the city and what it has to offer. We missed out on so much last year and it is a good thing that Cleveland’s summer events are making a strong comeback. So let’s take a look at what summer events are headed to Cleveland this year.

Cleveland Public Square – 

Cleveland Public Square is set to host a whole lot of fun this season. From free events that offer music to a wide variety of food trucks, this spot has activities for the entire family. Summer events are scheduled now through August 31st.

Asian Light Festival –

Go on an adventure at the Cleveland Metropark Zoo’s annual Asian Light Festival. Take in over 1,000 lanterns, acrobatic performances, amazing food options, and more. The Festival runs through Sunday, September 5th. Visit their website or call 216-635-3378 for event times and ticket information.

Walnut Wednesdays – 

Every Wednesday now until September, indulge your cravings with the delicious offerings of local food trucks. The trucks are serving their menu items from Perk Plaza at Chester Commons 11 am – 1:30 pm. Click here for a list of upcoming vendors.

City Pools & Splash Pads –

It just isn’t summer without a dip in the pool. Cool off every Wednesday – Sunday 12 pm through 8 pm. Find the locations of all city pools and one near you here.

Blossom Music Center – 

For those of you that have been missing music concerts, you are in luck! Blossom Music Center will host some incredible talent. Highlights include:

  • July 31st – James Taylor & Jackson Browne
  • August 5th – Chris Stapleton
  • September 8th – Alannis Morrisette

The Cleveland Orchestra will also perform throughout the summer. Orchestra concerts will feature Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony, Beatles Tribute, and more! Click here for more concert and ticket information.

Neighborhood Favorites –

This year the Lakewood Arts Festival returns on August 7th. 

Free music, games, and friendly neighbors await at Edgewater Sidewalk Fest. Join August 8th from 12 pm – 6 pm.

Enjoy as much Italian food as you can eat in Little Italy’s Feast of the Assumption. Participate from August 12th – the 15th.
