Best Upcoming Cleveland Events In March, Spring is almost here in the beautiful city of Cleveland, Ohio. The snow has finally melted, and fingers are crossed in the hopes of sunny days ahead.
As we begin to slowly venture back into the world, we look forward to long walks in the Metro parks, dinner in a downtown restaurant, or enjoying a day at the museum.

2022 Mid-American Conference (MAC) Tournament
College basketball’s MAC tournament comes back to Cleveland this March 9th through the 12th.
If you want to catch one game or all four, here is the line-up:

- March 11th – Semi-final conference men & women
- March 12th – Both men and women championship games

St. Patrick’s Day Parade
The St. Patrick’s Day Parade is a Cleveland tradition worth celebrating. It returns to the city on March 17th.
Join your friends and neighbours in the wearing of the green to see thousands of participants, hear Irish bagpipes, and see Irish dancers.

Other fun facts about this year’s St. Patricks Parade include its theme – Ireland’s Scenic Coastlines. The honorees are Grand Marshal – Thomas F. McManamon Jr., Mother of the Year -Rita Lally, Inside Co-Chair -Patricia Coleman Lavelle, and the Outside Co-Chair, Eileen Mangan Stull.
Enjoy the views and sounds of the parade on Superior Ave. at E. 18th St. to the intersection of Rockwell Ave. and Ontario St. Kickoff is 1:04 pm.
The Towpath Trail Lantern Parade
Herald in the season of new beginnings with a lantern-lit trip down the Towpath Trail. This upcoming Cleveland event is a little over one and a half miles. The hosts ask that you bring a battery-powered light and your own decorated lantern, preferably built from recycled materials.
This event begins at 6:30 pm, March 12th at Sokolowski’s Overlook. Stroll the trail to the sounds of New Orleans-style music while enjoying the “celebration of light, creativity, and sustainability.”
Cleveland Sports
Cheer on the hometown teams at home or the in-person at the game with these exciting matchups.
The Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cavs take on the Miami Heat in Florida Friday, March 11th, at 8:00 pm.
Next, they take on the Bulls in Chicago Saturday, March 12th, at 8:00 pm.
The Los Angeles Clippers come to town on Monday, March 14th, at 7:00 pm.
See the Denver Nuggets face-off with the Cavs in Cleveland Friday, March 18th, at 7:30 pm.

The Cleveland Monsters
The Monsters will glide the ice in their home rink against the Rockford Icehogs Sunday, March 13th, and Tuesday, March 15th.
On Friday, March 25th, and Sunday, March 27th, they will take on the Charlotte Checkers.
In March, the Cleveland Monster’s final home game is against the Chicago Wolves on Tuesday, March 29th.
