North Royalton has two places to choose to find juicy apples and pumpkins of all sizes near the Cleveland area. With just a thirty-minute drive from downtown, check out these spots for some fall fun.

The apples are already picked, packaged, and ready to go at Royalton Farms. The varieties they offer include:

The Farm is located at 16393 State Road, and the hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday, 10 am – 6 pm. They are closed on Mondays. 

A trip to Heavenly Hill Farm in Cleveland has a pumpkin patch, apple picking, and a lot of family fun. Weekend hayrides, life-sized board games, a corn maze, and a children’s escape room are just a few of the event’s visitors can enjoy.

Venture a few minutes out of the city and around the Cleveland area to experience some of the beautiful rural spaces in Northeast Ohio.

The Hillside Orchard and Farm Market are less than an hour’s drive from the city. During the fall season, guests not only apple pick and browse the pumpkin patch in search of the perfect gourd, but they can also go on a horse-drawn hayride, roam through a corn maze, and snack on donuts or ice cream and apple cider.

Another outing less than an hour away is Richardson Farms, at 6984 Lafayette Rd. in Medina, Ohio. Along with the pumpkin patch and apple picking, they sell fresh farm eggs, honey, beef, and pork. Seasonal produce is also available. 

While in Medina County, a trip to Mapleside Farms is a yearly fall tradition. In addition to pumpkins and apples, this one-hundred-and-twenty-two-acre farm has tons to explore during the fall season. With its scenic views and Pumpkin Village, every trip is a memorable experience.

The fall festivals have to be up there in terms of what most visitors look forward to during this time of year. This Cleveland area attraction offers live entertainment, themed weekends, a three-hundred-and-eleven-foot slide, and so much more! The themes for weekends in October are as follows:

More Cleveland Area Fall Fun

After the apples and pumpkins are safely home; you might want to find some more seasonal events and activities. 

It is a boo-tiful time of year to spend a Saturday or Sunday at Cedar Point’s HalloWeekends. Attractions include trick or treating at the Magical House on Boo Hill, a trip through two haunted mazes, plus character appearances. HalloWeekends runs through October 30th. The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo’s annual Trick-or-Treat Fest weekends are held through October 30th. Visitors can participate in The Monster Mash Dance Party, twenty trick-or-treat stations, plus unlimited rides aboard the Pumpkin Express. 

On October 8th and 9th, Hale Farm’s Harvest Fest will demonstrate what fall was like on a nineteenth-century working farm. On the 29th, adults are invited to try local food, breweries, meaderies, and vineyards at the All Hale’s Eve: Sleepy Hale-O from 7 – 11 pm.

At Walkabout Tremont, visitors can expect art, galleries, cafes, and entertainment. This month’s theme is Trick or Treat; Arts & Eats.

Bring a blanket or chair to see a free double feature during Movie Nights at North Coast Harbor. This October 22nd, plan to be at Voinovich Park at 6:30 pm sharp to watch Encanto and Back to the Future.

For a Cleveland area underwater adventure, you won’t want to miss Pumpkins & Piranhas Seasonal Fun at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium. See costumed scuba divers, underwater jack-o-lanterns, and of course, the fantastic creatures of the deep. Activities run from October 25th through the 28th.
