The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland stands as a tribute to legendary musicians, bands, solo entertainers and best drummers. Established in 1983, The Hall celebrates the most influential engineers, artists, and producers who have contributed to the development of rock & roll.

In the midst of great music that comes from a rock and roll band, best drummers often take the back seat. They may not be as visible as the guitarist or the vocalist, but they’re what make the rock and roll experience really sing! The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame recognizes their contribution and here we’ve listed the top 5 :

  1. John Bonham

Bonham is the greatest rock and roll drummer inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Bonham is one of the best drummers because whatever he does is revolutionary, just like Led Zeppelin’s first album. He fused jazz and blues rock like no one else, with staggering studio compositions including  “Moby Dick,” “Good Times Bad Times” and “Four Sticks.” No band can compare to Led Zeppelin because of John Bonham.

  1. Neil Peart

Neil Peart is the most technical drummer in rock music history, who can play for days on an end. He has twelve of the greatest drumming performances in music history. Fast tracks like “La Villa Strangiato,” “2112”, “By-Tor and the Snow Dog” are definitely mind-blowing.

  1. Keith Moon

If you talk about the ultimate rock star behind the drums, it’s definitely Keith Moon. He was a force of nature on The Who classics like “A Quick One,” “Won’t Get Fooled Again” and “My Generation.” Those songs made him one of the best drummers of all time.

  1. Bill Bruford

If you talk about talent, Bruford is at the top. He is great on the drums. He delivered great performances on songs like “Heart of The Sunrise” and “South Side of the Sky”. Bruford has set a standard for progressive rock drumming.

  1. Ginger Baker
