The holiday season is upon us. And what better way to celebrate than heading over to Cleveland Public Square for Winterfest! Colorful lights, festive events, and seasonal carols are the perfect way to begin the countdown to Christmas. Mark your calendars because the fun starts on November 27th.

Day 1 Special Events –

Winterfest runs November 27th – January 12th. The activities begin at noon, so bundle up and don’t forget your gloves. Here is a list and times of the events before the tree lighting ceremony begins:

Tree Lighting – 

One of the biggest highlights of Winterfest is the tree lighting. Beginning at 7:00 pm is a dance party with DJ Shake. Then Cleveland Public Square lights up with hundreds of merry lights. The night finishes with a sparkling fireworks display. If you can’t make the tree lighting in person, Channel 3 WKYC will broadcast the event at 7:30 pm.

Downtown Cleveland Walking Tour –

Take part in a special guided walking tour of downtown Cleveland on November 28th at 4:00 pm and December 28th at 7:00 pm. Learn about Christmases past at the Higbee’s Twigbee Shop, Halle Bros., and more. Find ticket information here.

The Nutcracker –

The must-see holiday ballet returns to the Connor Palace. See the Mouse King, Nutcracker Prince, Sugarplum Fairy, and more from December 3rd through the 5th. Tickets are sure to go quickly for this favorite.

Santa In The Square – 

Visit with Santa himself Saturdays and Sundays, December 3rd – the 19th at Cleveland Public Square. Have your Christmas list ready 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
