With vacation plans on hold or canceled, many are looking for ways to spend their time off this summer. A big trend this year is short road trips. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has recently reopened and might be the perfect way to spend a day with friends or family. 

As with most other businesses, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has made some adjustments and changes for the safety of its staff and visitors. Let’s take a look at what is new and how to plan your next trip to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

 

Plan Ahead 

The Hall Of Fame is currently open 11 am – 5 pm daily. Consideration has been given to the following with an entrance time of 10 am – 

  • Mondays: Teachers
  • Tuesdays: Vulnerable Visitors
  • Saturdays: Rock Hall Members
  • Sundays: Health Care Workers.

Tickets are available online only. Visitors will be limited during this time and don’t forget to bring your ID! Verification will be needed for entry. For more information on ticket pricing and availability, please click here.

 

Safety First

New safety precautions are now in place at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. According to their website, the following procedures are in place –

  • Continuous Daily Cleaning
  • Hand Sanitizing Stations Throughout the Hall
  • Temperature Checks Before Entry
  • Visitors and Staff Are Required to Wear Masks
  • Limited Capacity and Timed Entry
  • Plexiglass Shields at Checkout
  • Credit Card and Mobile Payment Only

Visitors are also asked to stay 6 feet apart, and some theatres and interactive areas are temporarily closed. 

 

Upcoming Events

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony has been rescheduled for November 7th, 2020. This year’s inductees include – 

  • Irving Azoff
  • Depeche Mode
  • The Doobie Brothers
  • Whitney Houston
  • Jon Landau
  • Nine Inch Nails
  • The Notorious B.I.G.
  • T Rex

HBO’s live broadcast of the ceremony will begin at 8 pm. 

 

On Display Now

Fans can look forward to viewing some of the amazing items currently available at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. On your next trip, you can expect to see Woodstock at 50, a photo exhibit by Micheal Friedman, Stewart Gallery focusing on the Roots Of Rock, an Elvis display and video, and much more!

  • The Beat Goes On
  • Don’t Knock the Rock
  • On the Air: Rock and Roll Radio
  • Rapper’s Delight

 

This Hall of Fame is made up of 5 different levels, all with different themes and exhibits. The level 1 cafe is still open but the Garage on level 2 is closed. Make sure to check out 2019’s inductee’s clothing, handwritten lyrics, personal instruments, and more on level 3!
