The Location

Gordon Square Arts District
Artists and theater lovers won’t want to miss out on the Gordon Square Arts District. Here they can explore the Capitol Theatre to experience a major motion picture in a historical setting. For over one hundred years, movie lovers have flocked to see the magic of the movies. Today Clevelanders can view Don’t Worry Darling, The Woman King, and See How They Run.
In its own words, the Cleveland Public Theatre is “A nationally recognized center for contemporary, groundbreaking performances and life-changing education programs.” October 27th through November 7th, see Breakout Sessions (or Forgross). On October 29th, the Theatre will have a Dia De Muertos celebration with fun for the entire family. Coming this December, guests will learn How The Circus Stole Christmas: A Circus Holiday Extravaganza!

The Cleveland Eco Village is a space in the Detroit-Shoreway that is not only diverse but dedicated to sustainability. Updated and remodeled properties and permanent, tiny houses dot this area. In fact, the first LEED Platinum home in town can be found here. The Cleveland Eco Village’s Greenspaces have a place to grow food and space for children to play that the residents keep up.
Lorain Avenue Antiques District
Find countless treasures and vintage pieces when you shop in the Lorain Avenue Antiques District. Spend the day finding jewelry, furniture, home goods, and more. Walk the entire district and window shop in only 30 minutes. While you are around, grab a slice of pizza or two from Nunzio’s Pizzaria and some sweet dessert at Azucar Bakery.

The Happy Dog menu features beef, vegan, red hot dogs, and pork kielbasa, as well as beef and a vegan burger. But the list of toppings is genuinely impressive! Diners can choose from chorizo chili, sloppy joe, nacho cheese, Cleveland sauerkraut, fresh diced tomatoes, and a long list of other tasty options.
Il Rione Pizzeria has unique pizzas like the Diavolo Pie, which has toppings of spicy salami and Calabrian chiles. Other unique toppings include fried sage leaves, hot honey, and an arugula. Fresh salads and a meat & cheese plate round out the menu.
For a taste of ricotta gnocchi, asparagus risotto, or lamb meatballs, reserve a table at Luxe Kitchen & Lounge. This restaurant has a menu with treats of carrot hummus served with crudites and pita, p.e.i. mussels with pancetta, saffron tomato broth, and served with a baguette. If you love sweets, be sure to try the tiramisu, beignets, or local plum tart!
This Cleveland neighborhood is also home to wine bars, a small-batch coffee bar for a quick pick-me-up, and craft beer.
