Winter is officially here, with cold winds and short gray days. Are you tired of hunkering indoors? Are you looking for some safe ways to venture out? Well, you are in the right place! Cleveland has many amazing spots to find adventure. Let’s take a look at some of the best places for winter fun in Cleveland.

Tobogganing At The Chalet

A true Cleveland winter staple, the toboggan chutes are open at the Strongsville Chalet. What a perfect way to spend quality time with friends and family racing down an icy chute. Tobogganing hours are – Fridays 6:00 pm – 9 pm, Saturdays 12:00 pm – 9 pm, and Sundays 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm. If you get hungry, check out the concession stands “to-go window.” This year, visitors 6 years old and up must wear a mask, and reservations are required.

Outdoor Dining

Restaurants throughout Northeast Ohio are exploring ways to engage with customers and keep them safe during the pandemic. One of our favorite ideas, the delightful heated igloos. Strung with festive lights, they look wonderful for catching up with friends or date night. Reserve your outdoor dining igloo early as they are popular! Here are some great igloo dining options:

The South Side in Tremont.

Cleveland Metroparks Merwin’s Wharf.

Georgetown Vosh in Lakewood.

Explore The Metroparks

Even in the coldest months, Cleveland’s Metroparks are a joy to explore. Whether you are going for a hike or a car ride through the park, add the Metroparks to your winter fun plans. Laced throughout Cleveland, take in beautiful cityscapes and scenic lake views. There are even bird walks, snowshoe scavenger hunts, and Saturday morning strolls.
